I performed an original song of mine in the school talent show when I was in the 6th grade. I specifically remember coming off the stage and telling my mom that I wanted to be a singer for the rest of my life. It was nerve-racking and amazing at the same time. From that point on I started singing at open mic nights and recording CDs.
